Public Hearing on the Proposed 2025-2026 Budget
09/18/2025
The Osmond Board of Education Public Budget Hearing commenced at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2025, in the school multipurpose room.
It was moved by Rice, seconded by Reikofski, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Sept. 10, 2025 issue of the Osmond Republican, according to policy 2008 and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. Members present and having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. A copy of the open meetings act was posted in the room.
Yea: 6 Nay: 0
Board Member Roll Call was taken, with all members present.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Public Comment: The hearing was opened for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions, or observations of taxpayers relating to adopting the 2025-2026 budget.
Superintendent Bremer shared information and visited with the board regarding the new budget and the rationale behind the different budgeted expenditures.
The Budget hearing was adjourned at 7:03 pm.

The Osmond Board of Education Public Hearing on the 2025-2026 Final Tax Request commenced at 7:04 pm.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Koehler, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Sept. 10, 2025 issue of the Osmond Republican, according to policy 2008 and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. Members present and having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. A copy of the open meetings act was posted in the room.

Board member roll call was taken, with all members present.
The Agenda was approved as presented.
Public Comment: The hearing was opened for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions, or observations of taxpayers relating to settling the final tax ask request for the 2025-2026 school year.
Superintendent Bremer shared information and visited with the board regarding the tax request and the rationale behind the final tax request.
Action Items:
It was moved by Rice, seconded by Reikofski to adopt the 2025-2026 proposed budget.

It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Krohn to adopt the resolution to set the 2025-2026 final tax ask request for the General Fund in the amount of $3,436,916, the Special Building Fund in the amount of $25,253 and the Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund (QCPUF) in the amount of $104,656.
