Osmond FFA Celebrates Nebraska State FFA Degree Recipients
Osmond FFA is proud to announce that two of its members have earned the prestigious Nebraska State FFA Degree, the highest honor awarded at the state level by the Nebraska FFA Association.
This recognition is a major milestone in an FFA member’s journey, awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, agricultural skills, and dedication to community service. To be eligible, students must meet rigorous criteria, including record-keeping of supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs), earning and investing significant income from agricultural enterprises, and completing extensive hours of leadership and service activities.
This year’s recipients from the Osmond FFA Chapter include: Ava Reikofski, the daughter of Jay and Michelle Reikofski, has SAE projects in Forage Production and Health and Human Services. Ava works for her dad on the family farm, raking hay and stacking big round bales. Ava also works for Avera Creighton Care Center as a registered CNA.
Keely Gubbels, the daughter of Jason and Amy Gubbels, has an SAE project in Agricultural Services. Keely works at LG Pumping as an administrative assistant. “These students have gone above and beyond,” said Jessica Evans, FFA Advisor at Osmond Community Schools. “Earning the State Degree is no easy task - it reflects years of dedication, responsibility, and hard work both in and out of the classroom.”
The Nebraska State FFA Degrees were awarded during the 2025 Nebraska State FFA Convention held in Lincoln, April 2-4. State Degree recipients will now be eligible to pursue the American FFA Degree - the highest honor bestowed by the National FFA Organization.
