The Osmond varsity boys’ team traveled to Stanton Thursday September 27th for their 11 team invitational. The Tigers had a strong showing finishing runner-up to Pierce by 5 points.
Top finisher for Osmond was Johnson Chishiba who passed Pierce’s Cole Vogt just before the finish gate for 3rd place (18:16.504). Jared Bessmer was fifth pushing it to the line (18:46.713) keeping his distance if front of Graysen Schultze and BRLD’s Brayden Anderson. Grayson had regained the lead on the final stretch but was out leaned at the line for 7th place (18:47.432).
Ryan Schmit did a nice job of overtaking two BRLD runners and holding them off to finish in 13th place (19:40.599). Aaron Chishiba placed 20th (19:51.593) and Kaden Polt finished in 26th place at 20:39.438.
“The team really ran well and fought for every place” complimented Coach Ortmeier. “It was a great race to watch.”
