            After a postponement from Thursday September 20^th the Osmond cross country team got to race.  Some of the Tigers were scheduled to run at the meet in Creighton, but it was canceled due to poor course conditions, so the entire team traveled to the Lakeview Golf Course. 

          Because the date of the meet was moved teams like South Sioux City, Wayne, and BRLD did not attend.  There was still a high level of competition as a pair of Crofton runners finished first and second.  Winning time was 17:00.38.  They were followed by four Norfolk Catholic runners.  Next was a pair of Tigers, Johnson Chishiba finished in 7^th place (18:14.05) and Jared Bessmer 8^th (18:15.88), both were near their best times ever.  Graysen Schultze was 10^th (18:32.82), Ryan Schmit 16^th (19:26.13), Aaron Chishiba 18^th (19:44.72) and Kaden Polt 20^th (20:09.35). 

          Alexander Heiman was the runner-up in the junior varsity division (22:09.91) and Connor vonRentzell was 8^th (24:44.45).

          In the girl’s portion of the meet Lexi Beacom finished in 11^th place (25:12.72) and Hayle Krienert was 12^th (25:23.91).  Jozie Kumm just missed medaling as she placed 17^th in 31:21.40.

          For the Tigers in the jr. high division Caydence Krienert finished the 2000 meter course in 7^th place (8:21.07), Erica Heiman was 9^th (8:23.90) and Juliana Kumm was 15^th (9:07.73). Crofton’s Jordyn Arens won the race in 7:02.94. There were 22 runners in the field.

          On the boy’s side Robert Aschoff finished one place out of the medals in 11^th place (7:40.52).  Bloomfield/Wausa runner Addison Smith won the event in 6:44.74.  There were 36 runners in this race.

          “This was a tough meet even without all the teams entered” noted Coach Joe Ortmeier. “I was pleased with the way we competed especially since it was a last minute change for some of our kids. The times looked pretty good also.”
