Osmond traveled to the Lakeview golf course for the Crofton Invitational. The weather was cool and great for running. The meet matched up the top runner from class C Carson Noecker of Hartington-Newcastle and the top rated runner from class B Mesuidi Ejerso of South Sioux City. Noecker won the race by 2 minutes and 7 seconds in a time of 14:53.09. Ejerso’s time for second place was 17:00.15.
For the sixth place Osmond Tigers, Robert Aschoff had the best finish placing 15th in a nice time of 18:53.92. Caleb Miller was next at 24th place in 19:36.15, with Dominic True at 27th place in a time of 19:40.00. Karter Johnson was close behind at 29th place in 19:51.09, Gavin Geneski 32nd in 19:59.34 and Matthew Alderson 33rd in 19:59.76.
In the junior varsity division Hudson Schultze was 11th in a time of 21:12.14 with Noah Geneski next at 12th in 21:17.20. Jack Berg came in 22nd in a time of 24:03.00.
Keli Aschoff finished in 21st place in a time of 23:14.73.
In the junior high division Rachel Harder finished in 4th place and Charley Aschoff was 7th in the 37 runner field. Rachel covered the 2000 meters course in 8:20.05 and Charley finished in 8:31.41. Deanna Kumm was 23rd in a time of 9:30.23.
On the boy’s side Mason True finished in 14th place and Donovan Heiman was 23rd. Masons time was 8:02.14 and Donovan was clocked at 8:18.55.
“I thought we ran well in a strong field,” noted Coach Ortmeier. “Our top six runners were all under 20 minutes, pretty good considering the hills on the course. Keli and the junior high also ran well.”
