            Thursday September 23^rd the Osmond Cross Country team traveled to the Crofton Lakeview Golf Course.  Temperatures were comfortable for this difficult course that starts and finishes uphill.  Norfolk Catholic’s boy’s won the event with South Sioux City second and the Tigers finished fifth.  On the girl’s side Wayne won and South Sioux City was second.

          The boy’s individual champion was Carson Noecker of Hartington in a fast time of 15:33.38.  Osmond’s best finish was by Gavin Geneski in 14^th place in a time of 19:10.13.  Robert Aschoff was close behind in 18^th place in 19:38.38.  The next group of Tigers came in led by Karter Johnson.  Karter placed 32^nd in a time of 20:43.50.  Dominic True was next in 34^th place clocked at 20:45.68.  Kaden Polt finished 36^th in 21:09.27. Matthew Alderson finished in 51^st place in 22:03.99.

          The Osmond JV team placed third as Hunter Beacom finished in 6^th place in a time of 21:27.06.  Bodie True was 11^th in 22:03.26 and Hudson Schultze 15^th in a time of 22:22.34.  James Doyle finished in 23^rd place in a time of 25:02.73. 

          Earlier in the girl’s race Crofton’s Jordyn Arens won the race in 20:03.24.  For the Osmond girls Riley Wagner finished in 36^th place in 28:11, and Sydney Peck was 45^th in a time of 33:21.57.

          Two junior high girls medaled for the Tigers.  Rachel Harder placed 5^th in a time of 8:11.98 for the 2000meter course. Charley Aschoff finished in 9^th place in a time of 8:18.31.  For the boy’s Donivan Heiman finished in 16^th place in a time of 8:00.38, and Kooper Gubbels finished in 44^th place in 9:59.52.

          “We really competed well and really got after each other on this tough course, I’m looking forward to the next meet to see more improvement” noted Coach Ortmeier.
