JH Track meet at Creighton

The Osmond J.H. Track teams competed at the Creighton
Relays on Thursday, April 18. Teams competing were Osmond,
Bloomfield, Creighton, Elkhorn Valley , Neligh/Oakdale and
Wausa. The Osmond boys finished as the team champions
scoring 80 points, finishing 12 points ahead of runner-up
Elkhorn Valley.
In this meet all the races are relays and all the field events
consist of teams of three with all three distances being added
together. I was very pleased with how the kids competed. Not
only did the boys finish as team champion but in the combined
boys and girls scoring Osmond was only 8 points away from
first place.
Osmond finished first in the shot put, high jump, and the 7 th
grade 4 x 100, and second in the discus, long jump, triple jump,
4 x 200, and 4x 400. In addition the Tigers also finished first in
the Coed 4 x 100 and the Coed weight 4x 100.
