TeamMates Rock Painting 2019
On Monday, August 26th, TeamMates mentors and mentees participated in a kickoff activity at the school. The TeamMates Board of Directors planned the activity, which involved matches painting rocks to be placed around the community. People who find a rock may move it to another spot for others to find. This will help create a spirit of positive reinforcement in the community. The group of approximately 22 mentor-mentee matches gathered in the art room to paint the rocks with happy, inspirational messages.
The TeamMates Board of Directors plans various activities for the group throughout the school year; so watch for upcoming activities for the matches. The mission of the TeamMates program is to "positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring." Any student in the 4th-12th grade in Osmond Community School may be nominated to be in the TeamMates program.
The local Board of Directors includes Tyler Gansebom, Pam Johnson, Jenny von Rentzell, Jill Heemstra, Amanda Koehler, and Sarah Polt. Program Coordinator is Beth Manzer. If you are interested in being a part of the program as a mentor or mentee, please contact any one of these individuals.
