2018 TeamMates Attend Spring Game
On Saturday, April 21st , the Osmond TeamMates chapter made their way south to Lincoln to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers annual Red/White football game.
This year the TeamMates program kicked off the day with a breakfast at the Salt Dog Baseball stadium. This provides an opportunity for all of the TeamMates chapters across the state to get together and celebrate a successful year with their mentors and mentees. The program concludes at the baseball stadium with a special tribute to the graduating seniors.
The main event was the Husker Spring football game with the new head Coach Scott Frost making his debut. There were over 80,000 people were in attendance. Before the game, the TeamMates mentees stood up within the stadium to take a drug free pledge. It’s such a neat tradition to see these mentees taking the drug free pledge as a group, noted many of the mentors.
It was a great day for everyone who attended even though the weather was damp and chilly. We thank all of our mentors who were able to make the event another memorable one for our local mentees!
