Wrestlers Compete at Neligh Invite
The Osmond wrestlers competed at the Neligh Invite on Saturday, Jan. 20. The Tigers scored 11 points and finished in 21st place out of the 24 teams competing. The Tigers were led by Colton Beacom who placed 5th at 138 lbs. Alexis Solorzano won 2 matches but did not place at 182 lbs.
This was a very big meet with 24 teams competing. We only had two wrestlers competing because of illness but both of those wrestlers did well. Colton finished the day with a record of three wins and two losses to finish 5th at 138 lbs. Colton had two very close losses, losing to a West Holt wrestler with a record of 22-9 by one point and to a wrestler from Central Valley who had a record of 26-14 by two points. Alexis again wrestled well winning two matches and losing two matches. Alexis’s losses came to a Crofton wrestler with a record of 30-2 and to a wrestler from Franklin who had a record of 25-11. Overall we had a good day, and if it wouldn’t have been for those close losses I would say we had a really good day.
Next action for the Tigers will be at the Plainview Invite on Saturday, Jan. 27. Wrestling begins at 10:00
