Wrestlers Compete at Winside Invite
The Osmond wrestlers competed at the Winside Invite on Saturday, Jan. 5. The Tigers scored 34 points and finished in 9th place out of the 12 teams competing. Winside was the team champion followed by Clearwater/Orchard and Battle Creek JV. The Tigers had two place finishers with Mason Bykerk earning 3rd place at 126 lbs and Alexis Solorzano also placing 3rd at 195 lbs.
This week we were led by Mason and Alexis who both finished 3rd in their weight brackets. Both kids wrestled well picking up three wins apiece, all by pin. Patrick Vinson also went 3-2 in the 145 lb bracket but did not place. Bodie True won two matches at 145 lbs but did not place, and Troy Donner picked up a win at 138 lbs.
