Mercy Meals

On Monday, October 30th, the Osmond FBLA chapter went to Mercy Meals in Norfolk, Nebraska. We had a total of 26 FBLA members volunteer. By volunteering, the chapter is one step closer to completing the Feed Nebraska ribbon project. They ended up packing a total of 37 boxes of packaged meals which provides 7,992 children a meal. These meals are delivered by the Orphan Grain Train all over the world to help children who have experienced devastation, like hurricanes, and tornadoes, and those who experience poverty. The chapter advisor Mrs. Tunink says, "I really enjoy taking the FBLA students to Mercy Meals every year. There are so many opportunities to help others and this gives students a chance to be involved and see the importance and impact of helping those in need.”
