Anatomy- This course reviews the basic cellular processes as they relate to the function of the whole organism. Human systems studied in detail are the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, circulatory, digestive, glandular, and lymphatic. Recommended for grade 12.
Biology- The course will cover basic structures and functions of living things, the importance of inheritance, environmental issues, and scientific methods of investigation. Recommended for grades 10-12.
Physical Science 9- This course will cover problem-solving techniques in the area of science, techniques of investigation, classification, scientific methods, relationships between energy and matter, and chemical reactions. Required for grade 9.
Chemistry- This course will cover modern chemistry used in today's world, scientific methods in the laboratory, the periodic chart, basic chemical properties and thermodynamics, and energy transfer. Recommended for grades 11 and 12.
Physics- This course will cover problem-solving techniques, physical laws of nature, vectors, scientific method and analysis, structural components of our universe, and thermodynamics. Recommended for grades 11 and 12.
Environmental Science- Emphasis is placed on the recognized need to conserve our natural resources and to be responsive to the total problems of environmental pollution. Student investigations into the problems encountered by social and natural scientists are provided for discussion and laboratory work. Recommended for grades 11 and 12.
