Physical Education/Health Curriculum

Advanced Physical Education - This course is designed to develop fitness and related skills by identifying and measuring the various components of physical fitness--strength, flexibility, muscular, and cardiovascular/pulmonary endurance. Activities to improve physical fitness will include team and individual sports, exercises, and aerobics. History and rules will be covered. Open to grades 11-12.
Physical Education/Health 9 - This course is designed to develop an awareness of fitness and health. Students will be certified in CPR at the end of the course. Activities to improve the students' strength, flexibility, and muscular and cardiovascular/pulmonary endurance will be used. Required for grade 9.
